Bouzouki player and teacher Yiannis Polykandriotis has always had a passion for Greek Music. He started playing the bouzouki in 1956 and has since enjoyed an illustrious career. He has accompanied some of the most popular Greek artists in night-clubs, on-stage recording and on television.
He can be heard on the popular radio programme ‘Rebetiki Anthologia’ on LGR where he hosts a collection of both popular and rare rebetiko songs.
Since 2002 he has hosted more than 100 programmes. On special occasions, including his 100th programme, Yianni played live with some of his students – the ‘EPOMENOI’.
