Yiannis Ioannou originates from Cyprus and is a very lively radio presenter!
He has always had a passion for media production and, in order to pursue his dream of working in radio, he took advantage of his free time to be a radio presenter for London Greek Radio.
Yiannis currently presents LGR’s Saturday Brunch from 10-12pm as well as presenting The Sunday Afternoon Show from 1-4pm, a show he has hosted for over 10 years!
In addition to LGR, Yiannis is also a freelance journalist and voiceover artist who enjoys PR, media production and travel with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Media Studies and a master’s degree (MA) in Communication and Media.
He has worked in film and TV productions as a photographer, assistant producer, assistant cameraman, music composer and production co-ordinator.
Yiannis He joined the LGR family in July 2010 to present “The Sunday Afternoon Show” or in Greek, “Apogevma tis Kiriakis” which is an entertaining show full of musical delights.
He has previously worked as a desktop publishing designer and reporter in local newspapers in Britain and, from time to time, he writes for the Greek media in London.
