In 2008, Mark left London for a new life in Cyprus where he spent seven years growing closer to his roots. He enrolled at the University of Cyprus, where he produced an award winning radio show called The Grace for over five years at a popular student station. Soon after its launch the show went from on-air to across campus in cafes, restaurants and live events where he devised an innovative live-link show combining radio presenting with art and storytelling.
At the heart of his work is a passion for outreach and creating shows that can inspire others; to be a voice of hope and give something back to the community.
Finally finding his home in the LGR family, Mark brings his talent and passion for serving on-air with The Refuge; a show bringing together the avant-garde with contemporary and traditional sounds, telling a story from beginning to end with a hopeful message that speaks to our everyday lives.
With a vast musical knowledge and catalogue spanning a vast array of genres from known artists to undiscovered gems, he will bring you closer to your culture with intrigue. Prepare yourself to be led on a musical journey from the depths of your culture to the shores of a blissful summer sunset.
A creative soul with a strong background in theatre and the arts, he has also written and performed in various stage performances for schools and events for young people both in the UK and abroad.
