It has been confirmed that popular TV sitcom ‘Friends’ will once again be there for us this February!
News has spread that there will be a two-hour ‘Friends’ reunion episode in honour of iconic director James Burrows who recently directed his 1,000th TV episode (15 of these were ‘Friends’ episodes). It has been 12 years since the very last episode of Friends aired on our screens; for those who don’t have the date memorised, the last episode of ‘Friends’ was aired on 6th May 2004 and it was Season 10 episode 18.
The ‘Friends Reunion’ will be a one-off episode, which will be aired on US network NBC on Sunday 21st February 2016.
The original cast were Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry. It is hoped that the entire original cast will be present however there has been talks that Matthew Perry might be unavailable as he’ll be in London during February rehearsing for a show called “The End of Longing”.
It is rumoured that if he cannot attend, he will tape something to be aired for the special episode. Whilst fans are excited for this one off special, true ‘Friends’ lovers are somewhat disheartened that the entire cast will not feature in the reunion episode.
